I know it's hard to imagine Dems getting any more disgusting than when they are carrying around a sign that says "We Support The Troops When They Shoot Their Officers", but then again, they are Leftists, so I'm pretty sure there is no bottom to their moral depravity.
Some guy that calls himself Thersites (read here to see how ridiculous it is for any anti-war wussy Leftist to use that name) wants his Democrat Senators to run and hide behind wounded soldiers at Walter Reed. Well, not all of the Senators, just the ones that don't have the balls to take a stand on Alito.
Just how much of a dirt-bag would a Senator have to be to do such a thing? And just how big of a dick does someone have to be to even suggest such a thing? Well, the answer to the second question is easy. You'd have to be this big of a dick to suggest such a thing. I guess we'll find out the answer to the first question fairly soon, since I wouldn't put it past any Democrat Senator to use a wounded soldier as a human shield. If Democratic Senators don't have the balls to vote when it's their friggin' job to do so, and when the American public are paying them over $158,000 a year to do so, then they don't have the right to hide behind some Army Private who just lost his legs in an IED explosion. The idea of a recuperating soldier at WRAMC being used as a human shield by some spineless Democratic Senator makes my skin crawl; especially knowing that there are Democratic senators, at least the ones we are talking about here, who would rather spit on a soldier than talk to him. Hell, some probably did spit on a soldier or two, "back in the day".
But this guy thinks it's okay for a Senator to run and hide, because, well, because he's a Lefty, and the Left has no ethical or moral guide to work from. It just isn't there, and there's no better example of it than this.
(update - 31 JAN 03 - There appears to be only three senators who didn't vote. The article doesn't say who didn't vote, or why. I certainly hope that the three who didn't vote were at least more honorable than ol' Thersites above, and soundly rejected his advice. Say what you will about Senator Kerry, at least he had the guts, if not the intelligence, to put it on the line and vote for a doomed fillibuster.)
