I have a lot of investments. I invest so that my family is protected, financially, should something happen to me. I don't need my investments to be in a newspaper that willfully endangers my life and the lives of other Americans in order to boost their reporter's ego. Here are the companies and mutual funds that own a larger portion of the NYTs stock. Lefties and universities have been successful with divestiture efforts against the state of Israel simply because Israel has been on the frontline of the ongoing War on Terror, and Lefties don't think they should be defending themselves. From Maine to California, Israel has been hurt financially because they are doing their best to survive.
Perhaps Americans need to take a page from the Lefty playbook and be a bit more conservative in where their investments go. We should make an effort to see that our money is invested in businesses that believe in America enough to want to see America successful in the war on terror. Every single one of our investments will be worth very little if we don't win this war.

Of course there are other perfectly sound reasons to ask your financial institution to rethink its position in NYTs stock. It's a loser.
The stock may rebound slightly as they try to regain lost glory and at the expense of US soldiers' lives, but it will be short lived.
