I occasionally tease some of my fellow soldiers who are still paying off school loans, letting them know that I paid a ridiculously low (even for 22 years ago) tuition of $320.00 a semester.
Now it looks like the tuition will be even lower.
"Those (Wyoming high school students) with a 3.0 grade-point average and a score of 21 on the ACT admissions exam will receive nearly a free ride to the University of Wyoming or one of the state's seven community colleges.
Unfortunately, I don't think any of my kids will be much interested in going to Univ of Wyoming. That would really help out my retirement fund.
That's great to know lol

From experience, I can tell you that you have 25 years of "paying" for the little one. I was gone at 17. But that number has now moved out to 25, as far as I can tell.
I did hear of a method someone is using though. At 21, they begin charging rent to the kid - whatever is the going rate of an apartment nearby. They put it in an account for 6 months and tell him it's his after he/she moves out. After 6 months rent, it's a tidy sum. Now the rent is theirs. But they can't touch the 6 months account till they leave.
They were gone a month later.
