Not Your Normal Village
It may take a village to raise a child, but if that "village" is San Francisco, the child will grow up as a cowering, shrieking, shaking psychotic that believes inanimate objects can be "hateful".
In other words, a Lefty.
I'm not sure why a parent would proudly proclaim that their child is this "delicate" in a major newspaper, but then again, I'm not a Lefty. I used to take my kids to the park just off the end of the runway at Reagan Nat'l Airport, where they would line up with incoming planes and try to run as fast as they could to keep up with them. Lots of kids in the park did that. In fact, I never once saw the kind of pussy kids that apparently are all over the parks of San Francisco. My kids would come over to me and say "Did you see me Dad! I kept up with that plane the whole time!" Then they'd run back out into the middle of the park and wait as another plane came in, ready to race it back to where I sat watching. I guess that's the difference between me and Lefty parents. I'd rather my child think that they could actually outrun a plane than have them grow up thinking that they needed to run through the house slamming all the doors and windows shut whenever a plane flew by. I'm willing to bet my kids have a bit more of a firm grasp on the world around them, and have a bit more resiliency about them, than does this kid in San Francisco.
Come to think of it, this kid and her Mom act an awful lot like a muslim imam; ranting and raving against the modernity of the world all around them. One more example of the perfect alignment between the Left in the US and fascists in the Middle East.
Good luck paying the psychiatry bills Demetra. Just remember, it was you that taught your child all of your paranoid delusions of "hateful" planes.
What a moron.

Hows about the asshat that wrote in next. "I find it troubling, this worshipful aggrandizement of warfare that is Fleet Week". what a f'n tool. Its freakin fleet week for christs sake.
Sheep, they're all sheep.

Not sure how I found you, but I love this post! Not everyone in San Fran is a nut, maybe just 90% of them:) My husband is currently working there and while on the phone I heard him sigh an awe inspired "Daaaamn". He was outside his office when the Blue Angels arrived. He said every time he watched them during the next couple of days, he was simply amazed, yet again. So, the folks who wrote in to the paper get filed under the title of *ass*.
