AP/Obama writes:

Daniel Fried, the assistant secretary of state for European affairs, said Friday the main theme of Clinton's visit to Brussels, Belgium, on Thursday will be "the reconnection of the United States to Europe and a sense of consolidating some of the enormous political goodwill on both sides of the Atlantic, and harnessing it to a common agenda — not an American agenda but a common trans-Atlantic agenda."

Since when is it the duty of the American Secretary of State to "harness" America to Europeans simply for the sake of political goodwill?  And why would an American Secretary of State move towards any agenda that was not first and foremost an American agenda?   What the hell are these people thinking?  Although it is near suicidal for Europe, it is clear that the European elites, along with the US Leftards, want a weakened, chastened, America.  That is the only "common trans-Atlantic agenda" that there is.  We now have a president, and a secretary of state, that are going to meet with European leaders to figure out how America should pay penance for the last eight years.
