Here's a shocker.  Given the chance to live under fanatical taliban-style islamic rule with the constant threat of death for the least offense, or given the chance to just kill the local taliban sheik and be done with them, some folk are choosing the latter. 
It's called freedom.  Just as Obama is getting rid of ours, others around the world are defending theirs with a gun.  Go figger.
