The Obamedia keeps whistling past the graveyard. The latest headline reads:
AP-GfK Poll flashes mixed signals for parties
and the very first sentence reads an unbelievable:
WASHINGTON – Americans want Democrats to control Congress after this
fall's elections, a shift from April, according to an Associated
Press-GfK poll released Saturday.
If you read further down into the article, you find this statement which completely contradicts the headline:
In recent days, the anti-incumbent wave has already spelled defeat in
party primaries for a pair of Washington fixtures: Sen. Bob Bennett,
R-Utah, and Rep. Alan
Mollohan, D-W.Va. Other veterans such as Rep. David Obey, D-Wis.,
have announced their retirements, and Sens. Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., and Arlen Specter, D-Pa.,
face primary challenges Tuesday that could add them to the political
casualty list.
So of the five mentioned in that paragraph (and not mentioned is the other four Democrat Reps who have already announced they would not seek re-election) four are Democrats that are sure to lose in November, and one is a RINO. Is there any reason to believe the headline now? Eight out of nine Congressmen going down to public defeat six months away from the election are Democrats, and the AP is trying to make you to believe that the American public wants Democrats to control Congress?
Then there is this:
Just 35 percent say the country is heading in the right direction, the
lowest measured by the AP-GfK survey since a week before Obama took
office in January 2009. His approval rating remains at 49 percent, as
low as it's been since he become president.
So there is a huge majority of people in the country that believe the country is headed in the wrong direction. And the Democrats hold a majority of seats in both the House and the Senate. And the entire Executive branch. To the AP, and I'm sure to a lot of Lefties, this is "mixed signals" which could mean November elections will be just as bad for the Republicans as it will be for the Democrats.
Uh huh.
The Obamedia will continue to pump sunshine up Obama's ass as long as possible. Come October and early November, the pumping will be more vigorous than a BP in the gulf. There will be headline after headline about how a huge victory for senators and representatives who publicly and vociferously opposed every single plank of Obama's platform to dismantle and weaken the United States will be (or was) actually a victory for Obama. I'm not sure how that spin will be accomplished, but there are already shades of how it will go (the anti-incumbent meme is being trotted out to no real effect). Keep watching for articles about how a huge defeat for Congressional Dems in November will actually be a great victory for Obama. They should start appearing about mid-June.
