Obama's "Nixon to China" moment.

The headline reads:
Millionaires to Obama: Tax us
Like he needs their permission. Here's a headline you'll never see, even though the 2010 midterm elections spelled it out clearly:
Middle Class to Obama: Go Fuck Yourself

Forty, count 'em, forty millionaires have volunteered their fellow millionaires to Obama for increased taxes. Given that there are 7.8 million millionaires in the US, these 40 represent five ten-thousandths of one percent of the millionaires in the US (or 0.0005%).
So what's stopping them from giving more money in taxes than they currently give to the IRS? Nothing....except that they are Leftists. So they don't want to give their money to the government, they want to give other people's money to the government. That's how Leftists work, even millionaire Leftists.

Changing the rear wiper on a Jeep JK.
1. Go to Walmart and buy a 13" wiper blade for $5.
2. Remove the installed pivot plastic that is used to mount the blade to a normal wiper arm by moving it counter-clockwise on the pivot point until it pops out.
3. You'll have a wiper blade that can now be installed on the rear wiper arm via the pivot point.
3. Now onto the install. Standing on something to put you at an appropriate height, pull the wiper arm out from the window as far as possible (about 3 inches at the midpoint of the wiper blade). Put your left hand fingers in between the wiper arm and wiper blade on the motor side as far into the space between the two as possible.
4.Push with your right thumb against the wiper blade housing on the non-motor side until the wiper blade snaps out of the wiper arm.
5.You will now have a wiper arm with the clips visible for reinstall of the new wiper blade.
6. Snap the new wiper into the clip on the wiper arm at the pivot point.
7. Check to make sure the wiper clears both the wiper mounts and lower window trim (if you got a 13" wiper, it will).
8. Pour yourself a whiskey.

Exactly two years ago, there were quite a few conservative bloggers that wrote on their blogs that they were willing to support the Obama presidency by stating "Obama is my president" in one variation or another. These were all as a result of the many, many leftist bloggers and non-bloggers for that matter, who never accepted George Bush as their president. Conservative bloggers didn't want to look as stupid and childish as Leftard bloggers looked when they made such a ridiculous and petty claim that Bush wasn't their President.
Despite the very egotistical foundation of stating that one or another person voted into the office of President of the United States is or isn't "your President", there was a basis for making such a statement. If you wanted to seperate your actions from those whiny, child-like actions of the Leftards ("Waahhh, why can't Gore be president, he's so much more intelligent than Bush" or "Waaahhh, why can't Kerry be president, he actually served in Viet Nam and Bush didn't") then you stated publicly that Obama was your president. Of course one to one million conservative bloggers stating that Obama was their president mattered not one iota, in much the same way that several million whiny Leftards didn't matter one iota as to the presidency of Bush.
But where it did matter, was in the election. All eight years of whining and temper-tantrums gave the media an opening into discrediting the Bush years. You can still today hear Obama the President claim that the Bush years were a financial disaster for most Americans. This is undeniably, and proveably, false. All those years of whining also gave cover for the now false claim that the federal debt incurred by Obama is simply a continuation of the Bush debt from the wars and from giving tax breaks to the rich, instead of the truth that Obama's debt is not a continuation, but a hockey-stick like charting of the federal debt into record-breaking territory. And all those years of whining about Bush and Cheney shredding the Constitution has given the media and the President cover for what is clearly the politicization of the DoJ and the clamp-down on First Amendment and Fourth Amendment rights that is occuring today at the behest of Democratic Congressmen and at TSA inspection sites around the country. Eight years of falsly claiming that Bush was a dolt, a charlatan, an ursuper, a whatever that days complaint was, enabled the Democratic Party to put forth a Leftist, America-hating Senator with zero accomplishments outside of academia to victory. That is where all the Bush bashing "He's not my president" lead us. And it's been a disaster for both our country, and the world.
So for all the conservative bloggers who took the high road proclaiming Obama to be their President, through thick and thin. He's our president whether you supported him or not. But there is a price to pay for giving support, and a price to pay for witholding support. And it's not simply in which party gets to play President for the next few years. It's whether America continues into the future as the world's most free nation, as a shining example of what humankind can achieve when allowed to be free, as the defender of freedom everywhere on this planet. Or whether we change course after 200 years and become just another nation that lurches Left, then Right, then Center, then back again, like most of Europe, with nothing more to contribute to their citizens or the world than a fascinating history and a bleak future.
I for one, will not be like a stupid Lefty and proclaim that Obama is not my president. He is, and I have no control over that whatsoever. But I will also refrain from publicly proclaiming that he is my President because with such a proclamation, I add my miniscule level of support to his effort to change the America that I have succeeded in, and that I hope my children succeed in as well. And I have added my miniscule level of support to the media that I no longer believe is there to bring truth to power, but is simply an arm of the Leftist Democratic Party.
Obama is President, true, but he's not any President I hoped for.

It's kinda funny to read this article about the Danes thinking that a couple of shots of bare breasts at the beginning of an immigration film might discourage fundamentalist muslims from wanting to emigrate to Denmark. There's two big problems with that theory.
1. Muslims emigrate to Europe for one thing; welfare. There's a reason you've never heard of the "Judeo-Christian-Muslim Work Ethic". A coupla shots of some breasts aren't going to discourage them from grabbing onto that easy life of welfare in Denmark.
2. Most muslim fundamentalists are sexually perverted, not sexually inhibited. All the mutawwa (religious police) in Saudi Arabia are either closeted homosexuals or hetero pervs. Every single one. It's why they became mutawwa. Ask a Saudi (outside of Saudi Arabia of course). They'll agree. Every single fundamentalist imam that demands women cover themselves in a black sack from head to toe is a sex perv who knows he is unable to control his basest urges and so needs women to be covered at all times. The abayya/chador/burqa is not mentioned anywhere in the Q'ran, or by Mohammed (please beat upon him), who was himself a sexual deviant. It's based entirely on an imam's belief that all men are as sexually frustrated/perverted as he is. Catholics may have their share of perv priests, but it's nothing compared to perv imams.
Clearly the Danes still don't have a clue when it comes to the muslims who are very near completing a silent invasion into their country and most countries in Europe. Too bad.

I'm building a cabin in semi-remote mountains, so when I listen to the radio, I have very few radio stations to listen to. One of the radio stations that I can pull in is an NPR station. I had it on today to listen to Click and Clack, the brothers who give out good car repair advice. They are not only funny, but are clearly experts on the subject of cars, and so as with anyone who is knowledgeable on a subject, worth listening to. At the end of their program, the program "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" came on. The two announcers mentioned that President Bush had been invited onto their program, but had declined (through a spokesperson). They then decided to "interview" President Bush by asking questions, and supplying the answer with some recordings made by President Bush (it sounded like he was reading a book, perhaps his memoirs?). The jokes were sophomoric at best. But the two guys and the entire audience was roaring with laughter. There were other stabs at Bush both before and after this "interview" as well. This stuff apparently passes for humor on the Left. Which is understandable since the Left is one of the most humorless groups of people this side of the Politburo. Actually, current Leftists are probably on the other side of the Politburo, but you get the point. Of course in contrast to their despicable taxpayer funded treatment of a former president, they did ask one question about the current trainwreck of a President. It went something like this, "Adored by millions around the world, this person....". No joking, or even ribbing of the fact that Obama had used, for the first time in its history, teleprompters in the Indian parliment. Or that his entourage cost more in ten days than the annual GDP of some of the countries he visited. Or that a muslim dirtbag told the press that he was forced to shake Michelle Obama's hand.
Conservatives have many, many policy disagreements with Leftards in general, and with Obama, Reid and Pelosi in particular. And yet I can't think of a single taxpayer funded show that would try to ridicule Obama or other Democrats either now, or in the future (when they are not only an embarrassment to themselves, but to the country as a whole like say...Jimmuh Cahtah). The idea of showing a Republican President any sort of respect is clearly not in the cards for any of these Leftards currently being paid with my tax dollars.
The sooner the new Republican House passes legislation to get these morons off the public teat the better.

Obama says that much more work still needs to be done to improve relations between the US and muslims. But he's clearly not the man to do it. Nixon could go to China, because Nixon was a commie hater, and if he was willing to go to China, then all the other commie haters figured there had to be some good to come of it. Obama is a muslim lover and America hater, so there really isn't that "Nixon to China" mojo going to work here. That Obama doesn't understand that simple fact is probably just another thing to add onto the already mountainous list of simple facts he doesn't understand.
And besides, the mistrust that exists between most muslims and the US is well earned. Poll after poll shows there are millions, tens of millions, of muslims who would like to see America destroyed and most of the rest may not want to see us destroyed, but they would like to see us under sharia. So our mistrust of them is pretty well earned. And to be frank, I and many other Americans are willing to see a very large percentage of those tens of millions of muslims killed by us if it means our children are safe from terrorists and free from sharia. So their mistrust of us is pretty well earned. I'm not sure I can see any compromise there. Do we want just a little bit of sharia? I'm sure Obama would love that, but...

Gates says we can stay in Iraq for as long as, say, McCain said we could. Only when McCain said it during the campaign, Obama and his disciples screamed like they had had their medical marijuana taken from them. But now it's okay, because Obama said it's okay, and Obama is...well....Obama.
So you rubes, how's that hopey changey thing working out for ya?

If you are Joe Biden (and your knowledge of foreign affairs would fit in a thimble), what do you do when the Israeli Prime Minister tells you that, “The only way to ensure that Iran is not armed with nuclear weapons is to create a credible threat of military action against it, unless it stops its race to obtain nuclear weapons.” You are stuck with a boss that either doesn't care if Iran gets nukes, or actually wants Iran to get nukes. Maybe Joe knows which of these is true, maybe he doesn't. But what promises can you make about US military action against Iran when your boss, the US President, doesn't like Israel, and members of his administration have actually refused to dispel rumors about the US shooting down Israeli planes on the way to bomb Iran if they traverse Iraqi airspace? The answer is, you do the seagull salute, and hope to hell that you can change the subject. Obama may think that no one messes with Joe, but clearly Netanyahu hasn't heard that.
So what exactly was Binyamin Netanyahu doing when he said that to Biden, and why was it made public? It is clear to most Israelis that the Obama Administration is not an ally. The US is an ally, but not the current administration in the White House. This should also be clear to Ahmedinijhad. And the term "credible threat" is a euphamism for US military threat. Netanyahu is forcing out into the public domain the idea that the US must make a final stand against Iranian nukes, and must do so militarily. All while Obama is knee deep in muslims a few countries away. Obama is sure to be asked about this, and he is sure to waffle. This gives Netanyahu a chance to firm up those in his own cabinet and government that don't think it is safe for Israel to go it alone on a first strike in Iran. With Biden's fecklessness and simpleton views of the middle east and muslims (let's divide Iraq up into three parts, and each group can ethnically cleanse their area until they are happy), Netanyahu clearly didn't expect Joe to say anything meaningful. Joe didn't dissappoint. And Obama can barely disguise his hatred for Israel when he's hosting a peace summit with Netanyahu; he's sure to show his disgust while he's in Indonesia, the world's most populace islamic country.
Netanyahu must believe that the time to strike is coming soon, and that as long as Obama is in the White House, there will be no help from the US. He needs to shore up his own suppport across the many factions that make up the Israeli government. Israel has faced this challenge before, during the Six Day War in 1967. They were surrounded by hostile forces, Egypt had closed the straights of Tiran, Syria was shelling northern Israeli villages from the Golan Heights, and Jordan was actively helping Palestinian guerillas slip into Israel to terrorize the populace. President Johnson was not inclined to help the Israelis, what with being thoroughly involved in Viet Nam. So the Israelis went on the offensive without US support and in six days of intense fighting, reduced the existential threat to their country. But prior to the war, Eshkol and Dayan had to bring together a cabinet that believed that Israel could not win without a major power on their side and make them see that there was no longer any hope of getting the US on their side. Netanyahu is in very near the same circumstances. He must make sure his cabinet and government sees that there is no longer any use in waiting for the US to make a "credible military threat" because no such threat is coming.
Israelis face another threat to the very survival of their nation. And they face another US President who will not lift a finger to help them (though for very different reasons). They cannot be defensive. The Prime Minister is setting the stage for Obama to show that he will not help the Israelis. Publicly. Obama will do so because he has shown time and again that the great game of diplomacy is beyond his intellectual capability. This will strengthen Netanyahu's hand in pushing for a first strike. And without the US, a suprise first strike is all Israel has now on its side.
